This policy explains how Kettrion handles personal data collected through our website at kettrion.com. We aim to be plain and specific. If anything is unclear, contact us at info@kettrion.com.
1. Who we are
Kettrion is a trademark of Salomons & Partners GmbH, a Swiss limited liability company. We are the controller of personal data collected through this website under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP).
Salomons & Partners GmbH Bahnhofstrasse 10, 8001 Zürich, Switzerland Email: info@kettrion.com
2. What data we collect, why, and on what legal basis
Early access signup. When you fill in the early access form, we collect the name and email address you provide, your company (if you choose to share it), and a record of your consent. We use this data only to add you to our early access list and to contact you when Kettrion ships. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 31(1) revFADP).
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs, including IP address, user agent, referrer URL, and timestamp. These logs are used to operate the site, investigate errors, and protect against abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure, functioning website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; Art. 31(1)(c) revFADP). Logs are retained for 30 days.
Analytics. If you accept the Analytics cookie category, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage patterns. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses; they are used only transiently for geolocation and then discarded. We use this data to improve content and identify what visitors find useful. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR; Art. 31(1) revFADP). You can withdraw consent at any time via the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.
Cookies and similar storage. See section 7 for the full list.
We do not buy or otherwise acquire personal data about you from third parties.
3. Processors who handle data on our behalf
We use the following service providers as data processors. Each is contractually bound to handle your data only on our instructions and to maintain appropriate security measures.
| Processor | Purpose | Location | Safeguard |
|---|---|---|---|
| Web3Forms (Reflect Technologies) | Routing early-access form submissions to our inbox | United States | Standard Contractual Clauses |
| Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) | Website analytics | United States | EU-US Data Privacy Framework certification |
| DreamHost LLC | Website hosting and server logs | United States | Standard Contractual Clauses |
We will update this list if processors change.
4. International transfers
Some of our processors are based outside Switzerland and the EEA, including in the United States. Where this is the case, we rely on appropriate safeguards as listed in the table above. You can request a copy of the applicable safeguard documentation by contacting us.
5. How long we keep your data
Early access list. Until you ask to be removed, or until we close the list and migrate active contacts to a CRM (in which case the retention policy for that system will apply and will be disclosed to you).
Server logs. 30 days, per our hosting provider’s default retention.
Analytics data. Retained at the default Google Analytics 4 setting of 14 months from collection, after which user-level data is deleted.
Consent records. For as long as the related processing continues, plus a reasonable period after to demonstrate compliance.
6. Your rights
You have the following rights under the GDPR and revFADP:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
- Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data
- Restriction — ask us to limit how we process your data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Objection — object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent — at any time, for any consent-based processing
To exercise any of these, email info@kettrion.com. We will respond within 30 days.
If you believe we have mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, www.edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you are in the EEA, with your local data protection authority.
7. Cookies and similar storage
We use cookies and similar browser storage technologies in three categories. You control all non-essential categories via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, and you can change your choice at any time using the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.
Necessary. Always active. Required for the site to function. Stores your cookie consent choices in your browser’s local storage so that we do not show you the banner repeatedly.
Analytics. Off by default. If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies under the _ga and _ga_* namespace to measure aggregate visitor patterns. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
Marketing. Off by default. Currently inactive. Reserved for future tools such as a customer relationship management integration. We will disclose and describe any tool in this category before activating it.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. The website is served over HTTPS, fonts and static assets are self-hosted to limit third-party data leakage, and Analytics is consent-gated by default. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where reasonable, notify people on the early access list. Continued use of the site after a change means acceptance of the revised policy.
